- You’d like to maintain your focus on your children’s best interests after a separation?
- You’re looking for help in supporting your children?
- You’d like to reduce stress levels and remain calm?
The “Focus on Children” programme supports separated parents so that they can maintain a family life that is as positive as possible after separation, in their children’s best interests. Mothers and fathers are empowered to support their children and provide helpful guidance during this difficult time as well as to reduce their own stress levels.
„Focus on Children” was developed by the Family Emergency Hotline Munich Association and Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU, Prof. Dr. Sabine Walper and her team).
The psychological counselling service at the Evangelisches Zentrum Höchst offers the “Focus on Children” parenting course. The course consists of seven sessions of three hours each. Sessions are held in groups of about ten participants. Parents do not attend the same groups as part of the programme. The course is led by a team of two professionals. Parents are provided with a folder of materials to consolidate their newly learned skills.
Costs: €100 (with cost exemptions for those on unemployment benefits or low incomes)
